Stonewall Prepare For Battle In Commons Over Gay Parents
Stonewall the Gay equality organisation has said that new legislation before Parliament that will grant new rights to gay and lesbian parents will face further attempts to wreck it in the Commons.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill propose a new rule of same-sex couples as legal parents of children that have been conceived through donated sperm, eggs or embryos
The bill has since been passed and now will appear in commons on Monday 11th February.
Gay Couple Make GQs Power List
GQ has jointly named Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish as the 30th most powerful men in Britain.
GQ says the couple, which entered into a civil partnership in 2006, are worth £225m.
Tory leader David Cameron was named the most powerful man in Britain.
